The third part of the Serbian animated film anthology covers the period from 1979 to 1984. The leader in the production of animation was Dunav Film from Belgrade. Neoplanta Film from Novi Sad has produced its last films, before shut-down in 1985. While the previous disc featured mostly the work of Borislav Šajtinac, this one presents the complete auteur work in Serbia by Dušan Petričić. Nikola Majdak (Senior) continues with his apocalyptic vision of reality, Veljko Bikić moves to a more commercial direction, Vera Vlajić returns to her personal subjects, Zoran Jovanović successfully gives life to his drawings, Stevica Živkov reaches his full creative maturity. Generally, Serbian production has a large variety of styles and subjects. The pessimism and optimism are equally present.

RASTKO ĆIRIĆ (1955, Belgrade) Professor of Illustration and Animation at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade. Founder of the Animation department and the FAA Animation Studio (2006). Vice-Chancellor of the University of Arts in Belgrade, where is the head of the Digital Arts Interdisciplinary DA Program. Performed 46 solo exhibitions. Auteur of 16 animated films.
