The Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade Interactive Arts Laboratory
Interactive Arts Laboratory is an artistic research hub for new media and technologies. Since its creation, it carried out many projects, including documentary TV series In the Net, a pervasive play Fade Out, a VR installation A Look Beyond the Foreseeable, a VR experience Stroganj, (First Prize at the world’s first Hyper Reality Hackathon organized by Bristol VR Lab, the British Council in Serbia and Startit), a VR experience A VRoom with a View and the project the Faculty of Dramatic Arts Building in Virtual Reality.
In 2020, along with the Austrian Cultural Forum, the lab organized Ode to Beethoven, an audio-visual 3D event developed through an online hackathon with over 60 participants. During 2021 and 2022, the Laboratory of Interactive Arts will take part in the realization of the project called CURIOUS, supported by Creative Europe in collaboration with partner organizations from Bulgaria, Belgium and Italy. The lab is also involved in the Virtual studio for mixed-reality content (VISMIC) project by the Crater Studio, funded by the Serbian Innovation Fund.
Last year, the lab won the Most Innovative Initiative award at the AFA Innovation Week Belgrade.
